Our volunteers from the Teen Mentoring Program at Vera M Welsh Elementary School participated in a match re-engagement meeting this month! These matches began in the previous year(s) and have built a relationship that they’ve chosen to continue in the 2023-2024 school year. The mentees were very excited to see their Teen Mentors again and rooms were filled with hugs and smiles. The matches took this opportunity to chat and catch up with one another.
Matches were given a choice of what activity they’d like to do together and the match pictured below chose to build LEGO! The Teen Mentors and their mentees will continue to meet weekly for an hour at the mentees’ school. In-School matches are support by Lori Beniuk, our Lac La Biche Program Facilitator. Lori provides support and engaging activities to the matches.
